Under the Planning Act 2016, Council is required to review its Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) every five years. The LGIP forms part of the Redland City Plan and identifies what future shared trunk infrastructure is necessary to support a growing community. It also shows how this infrastructure fits with local planning goals, funding and identifies priority infrastructure areas to guide future development.
Council has also reviewed the Water Netserv Plan. This plan outlines how water and wastewater services will be provided and managed to support our community. This plan is managed alongside the LGIP.
The Redland community is invited to view and provide feedback on both these documents. Public input will help ensure the proposals reflect community needs and values.
There were several ways to submit a properly made submission on the proposed changes.
Properly made submissions must be received during the public consultation period from 9 am on 2 March and 11.59 pm on 29 March 2026. This consultation has now closed.
Thank you for your feedback! We are reviewing the submissions and will be in touch with authors of properly made submissions in due course.
