Survey results and amendment of seawall and ramp concept plan

Council would like to thank everyone who participated in the Rocky Point seawall works survey.

The survey garnered 81 responses.

Out of the two proposed seawall options, more than half of the responses submitted indicate the community would prefer to have a rock seawall with an access ramp constructed at Rocky Point.

Furthermore, Council would like to take this opportunity to announce that based on the feedback received, the project team has amended the seawall/ramp concept plan.

The amended ramp design will limit access to small watercraft only, including pram dinghies, kayaks, and canoes up to a size limit of 2-3 metres and that can be maneuvered by hand without the need to be towed by a motor vehicle.

Thank you once again for taking the time to participate in this fantastic project that aims to protect the Rocky Point foreshore from erosion while also promoting and improving access to the bay.

Project updates will be added to this site as more details become available.
