Static charge being investigated

Council has received advice that people are experiencing suspected static at Cleveland Aquatic Centre pool facilities.

Static is caused by the build-up of electric charge on the surface of objects and can be influenced by environmental conditions, including wind and humidity. It can affect different people in different ways.

Multiple tests have been undertaken by qualified contractors who have assured Council the facility is safe.

Further investigations are underway to minimise this experience occurring.
