Read and comment on the Coochiemudlo Island Integrated Weed Management Plan

In collaboration with residents, the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Corporation (QYAC), community groups, concerned citizens and technical specialists, the Integrated Weed Management Plan (IWMP) has been developed for Coochiemudlo Island to ensure its values are improved and maintained for future generations.

It has taken into account the ecological and cultural values of the island, the need to arrest degradation and expectations of the majority of community members and groups for development a practical plan that will assist the coordination and implementation of weed control across the island over the next 10 years in a way that increases the health and resilience of the islands native vegetation.

Ongoing commitment to the implementation of the IWMP is integral to the recovery of native vegetation and protection of the islands important environmental and cultural values.
