Cycling is an easy and enjoyable way to travel, exercise and experience some of our many naturally wonderful attractions.

Riding to school or work, or for recreation:

  • could save you money on your car or public transport
  • is heart-healthy, relieves stress and helps you sleep better
  • is a low-impact way to reach your 30 minutes of daily exercise
  • takes cars off the road, reducing traffic congestion and helping the environment
  • lets you experience the beautiful Redlands Coast
  • is fun and easy

Council’s new Corporate Plan 2021-2026 and the Redlands Coast Transport Strategy 2020 commit to delivering improvements for riders and pedestrians across the city.

Initiatives such as the raised priority crossing recently constructed near Pinklands Sporting Complex at Thornlands help to create both a safer environment for pathway users and more healthy activities for Redlands Coast residents and visitors.

To help Council identify other opportunities to improve access and safety for cyclists and pedestrians, and enter the competition to win a $500 bike voucher, complete the Ride Redlands Coast survey below.
