Making a Submission

Submissions on the Environmental significance overlay and Planning scheme policy amendments may be made by any person during the consultation period, which starts on 11 May 2023 and ends on 31 July 2023.  To be properly made, submissions must:

  • be received during the consultation period
  • state the name and residential or business address of all submission-makers
  • be signed by each submission-maker unless the submission is made electronically
  • state one (1) postal or electronic address for service relating to the submission for all submission-makers; and
  • state the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on to support the grounds

Council encourages you to lodge your submission electronically for a more efficient data capture and review process.

You can use the form section to write your submission or use the option to attach your submission as a Portable Document Format (.pdf) or Word (.doc or .docx) document. 

Please note, this submission form can only be used for making a formal submission. Alternatively, a formal submission may be made during the submission period via:

  • email to rcc@redland.qld.gov.au (please include the title “Environmental significance overlay and Planning scheme policy amendments ” in the subject line)
  • in person at one of the Council’s Customer Service Centres; or
  • by post to Redland City Council, PO Box 21 Cleveland QLD 4163

Submissions:

  • must be addressed to the CEO
  • must include the Submitters name 
  • state a postal or email address for each submitter
  • state the grounds for the submission
  • State the facts and circumstances relied upon to support the grounds of the submission.

If you wish to make a formal submission you will need to provide your personal details. Your name and address are required for your online submission to be considered "properly made" under State Government guidelines. Your personal information will otherwise be treated in accordance with Council's Information Privacy Policy and the Information Privacy Act 2009. Your personal information won't be published or provided to any other person or agency without your consent unless we are required by law to do so.
