April Update

Community consultation closed on 28 March, 2019.

Over the 21 day consultation period Council received feedback from 22 individuals.

Those who provided feedback were mainly in favour of amendments giving Council the power to regulate for the safe use of canoe and kayak pontoons.

Feedback not related specifically to the Local Law amendment but rather the management of these facilities was also received.

The amendments to Local Law No. 4 (Local Government Controlled Areas, Facilities and Roads) 2015, and Subordinate Local Law No. 4 (Local Government Controlled Areas, Facilities and Roads) 2015 were passed on 3 April, 2019, and gazetted on 5 April.
