Currently there are set times for dogs on lead. It is proposed that restriction be removed and dogs on lead be allowed at any time. 

It is proposed that dogs on lead would be allowed at Beth Boyd Park, Thorneside. Currently they can only be walked on the designated pathway through the middle of the park. 

Dogs would still not be permitted on the foreshore at Beth Boyd Park.

It is proposed that the prohibition on dogs on the foreshore/seashore at Redland Bay Esplanade, Redland Bay (where Grey and Bay Streets intersect) be removed.

Dogs can already swim at our Dog Off-Leash Areas at Raby Bay Foreshore Park;  G.J. Walter Park, Cleveland; Coochiemudlo Island (at set times); Home Beach at North Stradbroke Island in the area in front of Point Lookout Hotel; and Russell Island’s Lions Boulevard Park (at set times).

Dogs would still not be allowed to swim in any of the city’s bathing reserves or swimming enclosures.

Dogs will continue to be prohibited within 10m of play equipment everywhere on Redlands Coast. 

No, DOLA’s can be used at any time.  

Horses, camels and donkeys would be prohibited from foreshore/seashore areas in front of all swimming enclosures in Redlands Coast.

It is a subordinate local law to Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2015.
