September 2018 Update

Stage 1 works at the new Thornlands Community Park are underway, with Stage 1a nearing completion and expected to open to the public by December 2018, subject to completion of Stage 1b works and any wet weather delays. Stage 1a works include a car park, public amenities block and entry road works.

Stage 1b works are underway. This includes a circuit path with connections to the existing cycleway, multiuse open space recreation area, installation of picnic shelters, seating, barbecue, water bubbler and landscaping.

All future stages of works and timeframes will be subject to Council’s future budget considerations and prioritisation.
