City Plan - Major Amendments

Redland City Council resolved to prepare two new major amendments to the City Plan at its General Meeting on 15 October 2025:

• 02/25 – Major Amendment – Residential
• 03/25 – Major Amendment – Non-Residential

These amendments cover the following broad categories:

• Residential matters – including provisions relating to secondary dwellings, dual occupancies, residential built form, and residential zone changes.
• Non-residential matters – including zone changes, centre planning, land use provisions affecting mixed-use areas, lot reconfiguration, and environmental outcomes.

Update

Thank you to everyone who took part in the public consultation that ran from 2 to 29 March 2026. During which we received 48 submissions from local community members, industry and government agencies. A submission report is currently being prepared and is anticipated to be considered by Council by mid-year.

All participants who provided feedback will be notified of the outcome, and the report will be shared via the website.
