Redland City Council resolved to prepare two new major amendments to the City Plan at its General Meeting on 15 October 2025:

  • 02/25 – Major Amendment – Residential
  • 03/25 – Major Amendment – Non-Residential

These amendments cover the following broad categories:

  • Residential matters – including provisions relating to secondary dwellings, dual occupancies, residential built form, and residential zone changes.
  • Non-residential matters – including zone changes, centre planning, land use provisions affecting mixed-use areas, lot reconfiguration, and environmental outcomes.

The Redland community is invited to view and provide feedback on both major amendments. Public input will help ensure the proposals reflect community needs and values.

There are several ways to submit a properly made submission on the proposed changes.

You can have your say by:

  1. Completing the online submission form below
  2. Prepare a properly made submission using the instructions on the fact sheet as your guide. You can lodge your submission by:
  • Email: rcc@redland.qld.gov.au using the amendment title in the subject line
  • Post: PO Box 21, Cleveland QLD 4163
  • In person: At Council's Customer Service Centre

Properly made submissions must be received during the public consultation period from 9am on 2 March and 11.59 pm on 29 March 2026. Submissions should be lodged individually for each amendment package, rather than a single combined submission.
