New parking limits will apply during the trial of regulated parking at Junner Street, starting August 2021.
Due to a reduction in demand for short-term parking in the carpark located between the former Minjerribah Camping Office and playground, Council will be trialling an increase in the amount of 24 hour parking in this location.
- 29 car parking spaces will be 24 hours.
- 2 car parking spaces will be 4 hour.
Dunwich foreshore is a high-use location, with transport and recreational demands. Local parking needs to accommodate those accessing the police station, playground, park, swimming enclosure and fishing locations, as well as those travelling to the mainland.
Council will continue to trial various parking options in the area until the outcomes and impacts of larger planning processes, such as the State’s Dunwich Master Plan, currently underway, are known.
