Update

The subordinate Local Law No. 1.4 (Installation of Advertising Devices) 2017 was made, in accordance with the Local Government Act 2009, by the Council of the City of Redland, by resolution dated 8 August 2018. Subordinate Local laws made under Local Law No.1 Administration can be viewed on Redland City Council's website.

The subordinate local laws are supplementary and provide for the granting of approvals for prescribed and other activities, and related definitions.

Consultation

Council has agreed to make a largely administrative change to Subordinate Local Law No 1.4 to enable existing planning scheme provisions covering permanent signage applications to be moved into local law.

Council’s temporary signage provisions are already included in Subordinate Local Law No 1.4. The amended subordinate local law will provide a central point for regulation of all signs in the City.

When does Council expect to formally adopt the new Subordinate Local Law 1.4 Installation of Advertising Devices 2017?

PeterTarlinton asked almost 7 years ago

    Hi there,

The new Subordinate Local Law is anticipated to come into effect at the time the new City Plan comes into effect in the Redlands. The new Local Law will regulate signage that was previously assessable under Redlands current planning scheme.

It is difficult to anticipate this time frame as there are many factors that can effect this implementation, however it is expected to occur this calendar year. Information will be updated on the project site and also on the Redland City news website.

    Thanks, Emma.
