Parking update – December 2023

Construction of the Weinam Creek PDA project is well underway with the Hamilton Street extension nearing completion and expected to open early in the new year. As the construction stages progress for the redevelopment project, parking within the PDA precinct will continue to evolve. To support parking and facility requirements as much as possible during the holiday season, no parking changes will be implemented until early 2024.

From 9 January to 10 February 2024, six car parks within the ‘dirt car park’ adjacent to the Marina Redland Bay ferry terminal will be temporarily closed while civil works are undertaken. Local signage will be installed to identify which car parks will be impacted during this time.

The Moores Road car park will remain solely designated to commuter parking for the Redland Bay Marina ferry terminal until the new recreational boat ramp in open. Once the new boat ramp is open, two lanes of parking within the Moores Road car park will be converted to boat trailer parking. To support these changes, the new temporary car park on Banana Street, Redland Bay will be open to commuter parking with an additional 141 car spaces. Subject to weather constraints and approvals, these changes are planned for May 2024. Further stage updates will be released in the new year.
