Council's current Corporate Plan is nearing completion, and we are working on the next one for 2026-2031. Earlier this year, we sought our community's help to develop the first draft of our new plan. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on their preferences and priorities for our city.

All the feedback we received through our pop-ups at community events, community workshop, static displays at Council venues, on-line survey and theme-specific focus groups has been taken into consideration before drafting the new plan, which was recently open for your comments from 20 October to 2 November 2025.

The Draft Redland City Council Corporate Plan 2026-2031 is available for viewing only.

We are analysing the feedback and amending the draft plan prior to presenting it to Council for adoption.

Redlands Coast residents are currently invited to have their say on Redland City Council’s strategic direction for the next five years.

Mayor Jos Mitchell said the draft Our Future Redland City: Corporate Plan 2026–2031 was now open for community engagement.

The Mayor said the plan had been developed in response to Council workshop sessions and community feedback.

“Council’s draft Corporate Plan is a document articulating strategic priorities for the next five years,” the Mayor said.

“Council’s Corporate Plan should set long-term goals to 2031 and beyond, seek to align with community values and support the delivery of meaningful outcomes.

“In May and June this year, Council officers spoke to the community about what should be in the plan via an online survey, six community focus group sessions, a community stakeholder workshop, and eight community pop-up events across the city.

“Now is your chance to look at how this has shaped the draft plan and to have you say.”

The draft Corporate Plan has five key goals:

    • Strong communities – proud, resilient and vibrant communities, where everyone belongs.
    • Sustainable environments – clean, green and thriving natural environments respected, nurtured and enjoyed by all.
    • Liveable neighbourhoods – distinctive and well-designed places to live, work and play
    • Prosperous economy – a flourishing and evolving economy attracting investment, innovation and opportunity
    • Effective and efficient Council – a well-governed and future-focused Council that leads, listens and delivers

Community engagement will run from today 20 October to 2 November 2025.
