A Plea
Surely the most obvious and inexpensive improvement that could be made would be to improve the the views of the Point Lookout Foreshore by the selective removal and pruning of trees and other vegetation.The special significance of this area justified its listing in the Queensland Heritage Register. Unfortunately there has been a gradual loss of views and amenity due to the planting and uncontrolled growth of trees and other vegetation.much of it weeds and noxious plants.Structures may have a role but they are expensive and detract from the natural beauty of the area.
Trees are an essential element of the Point Lookout experience, but we need windows through the trees to enjoy the magnificence of the views,Some examples follow:
