Redland City Council proposes to build a new Southern Moreton Bay Islands (SMBI) community and youth centre at 32-40 High Central Road, Macleay Island.

The community and youth centre will aim to increase recreational, education, health and social opportunities for island residents. The building will also be compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.

Council is developing a draft concept design and would like to hear your thoughts and views on the services, programs or activities you would like access to in the centre. It is proposed there will be a youth focus with a meeting and activity space for all.

Please note that the project is subject to detailed design and approvals, and the timing of the construction phase will be dependent on funding opportunities and Council’s budget prioritisation process
